Who We Are

The early 1970s saw the development in Lombardy of the turned metal sector for small parts and the replacement of single-spindle lathes with multi-spindle automatic versions.

The founder of the company, following a decade of experience in the construction of standard mechanically-secured tooling and tools in hard metal, had a new idea thanks to which he decided to set up a small company for the production of special custom-designed tools precisely in the automatic lathe sector, initially located in Valbrembo, province of Bergamo.

The rapid expansion of this type of machine, with growing numbers at the time in line with the growth of the economy, gave rise – jointly hard work and ceaseless research – to significant impulse also to the growth of the company, to the point of taking it to extremely high technological levels and a leader in the special tool sector, tools used today not only by automatic lathes but also transfer machines, machining centres and every other kind of machine tool requiring custom-designed tools.

High quality products, professionalism and dedication to customer service ensured for the Company an image of prestige and credibility, the vital foundations for continued growth.

The company moved into larger premises with of 4000 square metres of production workshops and 1000 of offices in Terno d’Isola; upgrading of plant, the implementation of advanced technology, growth in production, technical and sales management personnel have all consolidated over the years the prestige that AZ FIUS has won in the last forty years of “special” work.
